Dear Protector,

I want to start off by saying thank you.  You are a hero and an inspiration to me and many others.  In a way, you are like a disciple of Christ because you dropped everything to serve our country, not knowing exactly what you were getting in to.  You made a huge sacrifice that not many people can make, and it takes an immense amount of faith and sheer determination to what you are doing.  I have some Bible verses that I want to share with you (some of them won't have a book or chapter because I forgot). 

• "For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations.  His purpose was to create himself one new man out of two, thus making peace, and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.  He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.  For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit." -Ephesians 2:14-18
• "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.  Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes." -Ephesians 6:10-11 
• "Come to me, all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest."
• "God is preparing you for something He has prepared for you."
• " I have given you a great responsiility.  Through you, my child, through your actions, I will show my official representative of my great name."
• "The battle for your heart is fierce.  God's taken ground in your life, and the cost was Christ's blood.  Don't retreat.  Put on your armor and stand you ground soldier."
• "Going against the flow can get tiring.  Now's not the time to give up through; the harvest is just ahead."

Mandi saw this Bible and immediately wanted to participate.  Since January 2008, she has been fighting complications of West Nile Virus.  She nearly died on March 8th and May 30th.  The week she wrote in this, she was nearly bed-ridden due to the pain, yet wanted to let you know how important you are.  Through this difficult time, we have been clinging to God's promises to turn things for good for those who love Him.  On those really hard days when things don't make sense, or the heartache is almost too much to bear, hang on to His promises.  Forge ahead, knowing even though He is invisible, you are not alone.  Even if you feel He is distant, He isn't.  That's where our faith comes in; knowing He is fully guiding you through the situation you find yourself in.  Believe.  Hang on tight.  Know you are covered in prayer and loved by people you've never met.  Thank you for you sacrifices, your goodness that you share, the forgiveness that you give and the love you show. 
May God keep you and your dear ones safe and bring you back together soon.  Thank you.
